Tandoori Specialties (Punjab Ka tandoor)

Punjab, in northern India, is the home of Tandoori dishes. The Tandoor, or clay oven, originated in Egypt and found its way into India with the Moguls. It is an extremely versatile oven, capable of roasting, grilling and baking all at the same time. Meat is cooked in an extremely hot Tandoori Clay Oven, which cooks food quickly, charbroiling the outside but leaving the inside moist. Meat or Seafood is marinated in yogurt blended with Planet Bombay special Tandoori Spices.
